"Piano" : Track 4 Period (sorry, English only)

This music was improvised with piano and computer.
And it was recorded in my hometown - for a special reason.
It was a time in my life when I had to arrive at a difficult decision for
my future as musician.

My mind already knew what I had to do - but emotionally I couldn't find
the right balance to put it into practice.
Looking for a way to sustain myself I decided to go back.
I went on a journey to my life - geographically as I went back to my hometown for a while;
and musically by recording sounds and voices from my hometown and working with them.
For this recording I improvised on the piano and randomly brought in recorded sounds with
the computer: the voices of my parents as well as sounds of the lake near my home
where I had spent a lot of time in my childhood.

While improvizing on the pinao I thought about nothing, but playing.
I just translated into music what I felt while playing to those recorded sounds
- sounds that had been and still were so meaningful for my life.
When I finished improvizing, something had happened - something had changed inside of me.
To make a long story short: I had found the emotional balance that I was lacking before.
And I felt a huge release of positive energy inside me,
also from this music : the strenght to accept the necessities of my life
- and thus the strength to realize the decision I had made for this life.
So this improvizing is very special to me - as it denotes a turning point in my life.
It started off as a musical journey into my past.
And from there it led me towards a new determination for my present life and my future.
I looked back to go ahead.
